***** FIVE STARS! I do not normally read books about the Highlander clans, but occasionally the mood strikes and I pick one up. I am very happy that I chose this title to read. The main characters are well developed and the history between the clans is dark, yet intriguing. The author does not skimp on the secondary characters either. I came to care for several of them within both clans. I love the fact that even though Darroc has the right and desire for revenge upon the MacKenzies, his honor keeps him from venting this rage upon an innocent lass.
